2018 Nissan Titan Price and Review | Columbia, TN

2018 Nissan Titan

Serving Columbia, TN, Franklin, and Spring Hill

With the upgrades to the Nissan Titan, it becomes more in line with the athletic good looks and strength of the Titan XD. The light duty Titan is tougher and more capable of the towing and hauling needed from a pickup. Titan models are softer, too, with more inviting cabins.

When you've got a Titan, you can haul up to 1,950 pounds. Tow ratings are as high as 9,740 pounds. Under the hood, the engine kicks out 390 horsepower. Variable Valve Event and Lift regulates engine valves, bypassing the need for non-variable camshafts or a throttle valve. Combustion stability is enhanced by Direct Injection Gas (DIG) technology. With DIG at work, precision injection control eliminates engine knock. Thermal efficiency is improved by a Multi-Control Valve, eliminating the need for a traditional thermostat. The action is controlled by a seven-speed heavy-duty automatic. With these advanced technologies at work, the Nissan Titan is more fuel efficient and more capable.

Today's truck market has edged up the expectations of pickup buyers. No longer content with utilitarian interiors, they want more, and they can get with the high quality Titan cabin. A thorough upgrade has added softer touches, better materials, and more comfortable chairs. Premium style and features make the SL and Platinum editions feel upscale. The front seats may be power-heated, power-cooled and power-adjustable. A power tilt-telescoping steering wheel pleases drivers. Leather upholstery looks good, feels good and wears well. If you prefer a more utilitarian truck, Nissan's basic package includes easy-clean cloth seats and easy-clean vinyl flooring. In an exclusive move, the truckmaker allows King Cab buyers to delete the second row in favor of a flat cargo area with tie-down hooks.

If you love your music, the Titan has you covered with NissanConnect. Offering convenient menus and functions, a color audio display screen is your ticket to Bluetooth streaming audio. NissanConnect apps expand the system's connectivity. In addition to Bluetooth phone, you can get a HandsFree Messaging Assistant to read your texts aloud.

In an exclusive move, Nissan engineers have used a special electric motor to create high brake fluid pressure. This, in turns, improves brake pedal force. It's just one way the truck works to keep its passengers out of trouble. A rearview camera is active during reverse maneuvers. If there are moving cars, a rear cross-traffic alert can warn you. This is part of a blind spot monitor which watches for side traffic dangers. Extensive traction controls uses electronics to prevent skidding and other instability issues. A tow-haul mode and downhill speed control give the driver more control over big loads. An integrated trailer brake controller and trailer sway control reduce the dangers of pulling a heavy trailer. Nissan has added a trailer light check system. This exclusive system allows a lone driver to determine if the trailer's safety lights are working. The all-wheel drivetrain adds an electronic locking rear differential and a brake limited-slip differential which help the truck handle tricky terrains and difficult pavement issues. For safer slow maneuvers, Titans offer Nissan's Around View® Monitor. Moving Object Detection, a brand exclusive, watches for rolling cars, running dogs and other moving obstacles in the truck's path. This system is especially useful on a crowded worksite.
